“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
It is so easy to remain focused on our troubles and issues when we are struggling and broken. That can lead to more heartache, anger, unforgiveness, stress, anxiety, fear, and pain. It is during these times I like to say to myself, “Kiyâm,” which in our Cree (Nihiyawewin) language means, “Let it be, it’s alright.”
Just look to Jesus. If you stay focused on your pain and anger, then you will stay there. Look to Jesus. Keep your eyes on Him. He knows
you better than you know yourself and He only wants what is best for you. Look to Jesus. He may feel millions of miles away, but He is there. You just need to talk to Him. You don’t need fancy words or prayers. Just talk to Him. Just like any parent wants to hear how their child is feeling, so it is with God.
He wants you to invite Him in. He won’t force His way into your life. That’s why He created us with free will. It’s up to us to choose
Him. Just talk to Him. And keep your eyes focused on Him.
Lord, I invite You into my life to make me the person You want me to be. Help me to stay focused on You during bad and good times. Help me to let go of the hurt and pain and to not stay there.
