“For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened” . . . “And I say unto you, ‘Ask, and
it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.’” Matthew 7:8 / Luke 11:9 (NKJV)
Sometimes we think we have all the answers of how life should be . . . but then life never seems to go our way. There we are again,
reminded that we are not in control! But there is someone else who is in control . . . God our Heavenly Father.
When we find ourselves blaming God for not being there with our life’s problems, we should look at Job’s life in the Old Testament. It’s a
great example of how much God loves us. God didn’t let Satan destroy Job. He did, however, allow Satan to attack Job . . . with the loss of loved ones and possessions, and even painful boils on his body. But Job knew that he was still to look to God for his help and salvation.
We, too, need to remember to look to our Heavenly Father God for His never-ending love and salvation. When times get hard and too
difficult to handle, God says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). And God will always provide a way out of temptations that come (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We have a Redeemer, Jesus Christ our Savior. He is always with us through the Holy Spirit. There is nothing too great or too small for
God to handle. God loves us, and we must look to Him, live for Him, love Him, and desire Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, we need You and we pray that others, too, will know that You are there for them, and not against them. We are all
vulnerable if we listen to Satan’s lies instead of listening to You. Keep us in Your Word.
